I think a dash of over the top and cheesy is just right for the holidays. For instance, it's quite fun to wear a highly unrealistic leopard print poinsettia from the Christmas Craft Section of the Dollar Tree as a hair rosette for the family Christmas party. Thumbs up to dorks like me!
Christmas Party Pin Up Hair Styling Tips
First I dampened my hair a little bit with a spray bottle, then used mousse at the ends, avoiding the crown. I flipped my hair over to dry it, to help with adding volume. After a quick brush through, I sprayed a piece at a time and then curled it, letting it set for about a minute, and did that with each curl. I did not touch the curls once I put them in, because they naturally separate as the day goes on. Then I put a thin, red cloth headband around the front part of my hair leaving the bangs and the front curls in front of it. I styled with my hand to soften the look then fastened the piece de resistance, the Leopard Print Poinsettia to the headband.
